The Week of Baptismal Dates - 5/19/14

So uh...this week, we set 2 more baptismal dates...which gives us a grand total of 3!!! Take that, Satan! Can't stop us now! Bwahahaa. What a great way to start out the email for the week...I just couldn't help it, we were so excited!
We had Zone Training Meeting this week, and it was quite fun. I never knew that I could mess someone up in a role play so bad before...my bad. Role plays can be quite entertaining...when you play the character of yourself as a non-member...haha. Let's just say, this poor Elder didn't know what was coming when he tried to practice street contacting! Bwahaha. So. Funny.
We played some good basketball with some like...proffies this week. Well, Sister Schmidt did. I played soccer with some kids, they were definitely better than me and I need soccer shoes...ASAP! All the little 10 years olds were like, those are running shoes not soccer shoes! (awkward)
We finally had our Ward Mission Council! Sweet! Our new Ward Mission Leader is super cool! Let's just say...that some missionaries do fall asleep in those meetings...and it wasn't me! :D
We are teaching some members how to speak German, (because they are not German, obviously) and that is pretty fun. Sometimes hard, I appreciate my German teachers so much more right now.
Had a great time trying to get to our eating appointment on Sunday...let's just say there was a demonstration and lots of police. Aka, the tram got searched and then we had to get out and walk to the appt. through the sea of police. Funnnn. Crazy. But the appointment went well! So, yeahhhh! No worries, no one got hurt.
and as always, keep up the good missonary work and someone PLEASE let me know your cool experiences with mission work! (it can be with in the ward, outside the ward, with families, whatever!)

EMAIL OF THE WEEK - 5/12/14

BWAHAHAHA, once again, it is I, the only Sister in Germany that you get an email from. Or...actually, I don't know, do you get any other emails from missionaries in Germany?
Well, we said goodbye and hello to friends this week. We received a new Elder fresh from the MTC this week. He should be good for our District Leader, he will teach him English...(wait, I thought this was a German speaking mission! Nah, he already speaks German, English is next! :D)
We had some great things happen this week, for exmaple we TOTALLY got more joint teaches this week than other lessons. In fact, we basically DOUBLE our joint teaches! (Take that, Satan!!!)
We had some great experiences with other missionaries, aka, we helped each other find people to teach! That is what I call TEAMWORK. TEAM LEIPZIG!!!!!! That is dang straight.
We even had one of our Romanian investigators come to the Book of Mormon class, ooo, moving up in the big leagues!!
So you know how they give stuff to all moms on moms day? Well...the little kids gave me a flower and my investigator laughed at me because that apparently makes me a mom. That and the neice from my mission president was all...'ohhhh do I need to tell my unlce something!?' Haha, real funny. Then I gave my flower away. Phew!
I LOVE YOU ALL.This week should be legit because...we are inviting lots of people to be baptized because there are so many prepared people! Watch out Leipzig, you gonna done be baptized!!
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE

The week of weeks - 5/5/14

Well this week...you know just went to the Zoo and ate African food and went insane playing soccer!

We found lots of people this week, and got a Quar'an this week. Hahaha. We traded it for a Book of Mormon. This should be a fun family to teach. We have many simliar beliefs.

So...get this. We show up at our appt. with our Romanian investigators...they invite us in. There are TONS of new people in there, they talk with us, they read with us, and then they are all like, hey, why don't you stay for lunch? Sit down! Here is some food! That was very nice of them! I love investigators like that, plus they listen to us! It is so great!

We also played some hard core soccer and basketball, too. This is the best way to find, I am telling you. You have to try it out! You get some of the best contacts!

We also did a service project, painting a garden fence! Yeah! That was fun! And then we were given lunch! Best part of service is food. Wait, the best part of everything is food! Amen! SERVICE IS FUN. Okay, seriously though.

Church. Oh man! WE HAD 3 PEOPLE AT CHURCH!!! One in Poland, one in our ward, and one in ward two! My goodness! IT'S A MIRACLE!!! We have been trying to get these people for weeks! WEEKS! more like MONTHS. But now! They are heading down the road to righteousness! So excited!

I hope you enjoy these pictures at the zoo and us on the way to Soccer in Delitzsch with our member!

Alles gute! Happy Star Wars Day (yesterday) And happy May 5th, see you on Sunday!

Sermon on the Mount - 4/28/14

So...you know the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus just teaches people in the outdoors and stuff...we had a similar experience like that this week. We met this Romanian guy...while teaching someone else and he said he would bring all his friends the next day...

so we show up at this park and BOOM over 20 Romanians there ready to talk to us. We had 3 copies of the BoM and they started reading immediately and passing it around and listening to whatever we had to say. This looks promising. We even had two prayer circles in the middle of the park! MEINE GUTE!! It was super legit and i am pretty sure everyone is jealous now. After that, we even played fußball with them! Of course...we lost, only by 2...haha, but it was fun and funny, and I think I am getting better and faster at soccer...too bad I have the wrong shoes for it. Shoes make all the difference in EVERYTHING. Don't believe me? Try wearing church shoes all day while you proselyte, then tell me shoes don't make a difference. :P

Other than that, we had a great week teaching people, finding people, studying outside so we can be brown and such....haha. But really.

Today, we went to the Leipzig zoo! It was super cool! I will send some pictures next week, I forgot my camera cord...again. Whatever. But the ZOO. Was cool, saw some cool things like...penguins, lions, RED PANDAS. I really want a Red Panda...like the one on Legend of Korra. That would be really cool! Red Pandas are SUPER COOL.

Anywho, I hope you all have been studying Preach My Gospel and learning lots, I cannot wait to hear from you!

PS Football, fußball, and basketball are the best ways to find new people and friends! Be brave and go outside your circle! LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EVERYONE IN APRIL BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY BIRTHDAYS IN APRIL.

See you at Mother's Day, next week!

Easter! - 4/21/14

This week was pretty fun with appointments, sun, rain, easter, drunk people, and you know the Easter Markets and such things like that. Not to mention, TWO INVESTIGATORS CAME TO CHURCH!!!

We had many appointments this week and they were all pretty great! I love talking to people now, it actually is pretty funny sometimes...you know what people say.

Speaking of which, we met a new person...from ITALY. Super cool. We stopped him and we told him we could come by and bring a Book of Mormon in Italian. Okay. We stopped by the next day and he wasn't there and then he called and said he probably didn't have time. But as we were talking to someone else who comes walking down our way? Our Italian guy. We had a spontaneous lesson and he came back with us to the RIZ so we could get a translator. He took the Book of Mormon and even asked good questions. We told him he could get an answer by praying...and he asked, how. YES. That makes me so happy when people are actually interested. I swear, I live in a little mixing pot of people.

Sister Schmidt's trainer came to visit! What?! Yeah, weird. She came and taught at an appointment with us. That was cool. And strange. But cool.

We went to go play basketball and a new place this week, and got invited to play soccer instead! What?! Let's just say, our Elders are pretty good at soccer! They are definitely in the right country to serve a mission. I am totally going to practice for my Frühsport. For sure.

We had a grill party at a members house where there were many non-members and they got to see that missionaries are people, too. You might not believe it, but some people thing missionaries are robots...ha...ha..that's what they think. Ha. It was great!

Easter was great! I loved it. It is such a great time to remember what Christ did for us. I mean, everytime is a good time, but this is a REALLY good time. :) Just check this film out!

 I LOVE YOU ALL!

ZTM - 4/14/14

Went on exchanges this week, that was cool. I was in Chemnitz and some member totally came up to us pretending to be a potential investigator...well, it was good for practice and quite a laugh. I laughed so hard because I fell for it! Dang it! Ha.

The next day was Zone Training Meeting, that was fun! My comp and I taught a lesson on Finding through the Holy Ghost! It was legit. We came up with a theory, we call it the Yoda Theory. I would show you a picture, but I forgot to take one. So basically, take Yoda's quote on the dark side.
Fear leads to Anger, Anger leads to hate, insert no Holy Ghost and that leads to suffering. BUT the opposite is true. Faith leads to Repentance, Repentance Baptism, The gift of the Holy Ghost and onto Eternal Life. Let's just say, it was awesome! We even had a roll play! Take that Germany! E'rrbody's gonna be getting baptized! Bwahahahahahahahha.

My investigator likes to have me play piano for her, she has tons of classical music, it makes me feel really cool playing Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, basically, stuff I never played before, only heard. I am totally coming back Proffie. Yes!

We taught Bible Class and BoM class this week, it went really well! I was very proud of us! We lit it up like Silvester in Germany! This week we also said goodbye to the JW's, they don't really want to read the BoM so yeah, but we left on friendly terms. It was great.

Basketball Finding and Football finding were really good this week, we have some new contacts and I am totally getting fitter every time. Maybe I won't get to fat here! I am constantly running for the tram anyhow.

We did lots of service this week doing moves! So many stairs. So. Many. Goodness, moving in America is a lot easier than moving in Germany. But...it gives us more missionary opportunities. I love those. I have become quite accustomed to being a missionary, I don't really remember what I did at home. Oh well.

We had 2 investigators at church this week and were able to teach them there! Happiness! My joy just gets crazy over like, one person. How great is that. Plus...I bought more Guarana'. Oh yes, I did. So good. Also Ginger Ale. Okay, I am done I talk wayyy to much about food.

Also, there was a Marathon in Leipzig! I cheered for the runners like my usual track self and all the Germans on the side of the road thought I was nuts. I guess they don't like to motivate people that they don't know...AMERICA.

I LOVE YOU ALL AND EXPECT YOU ALL TO BE HAPPY. but seriously.

Also, I found an American Hot Air Balloon...not really, it is just American colors.

Love you!
Love,
Steph

Giant Mutant Strawberry - 4/7/14

So. I must mention this first. It's important. But I bought strawberries...and found a MUTANT STRAWBERRY! It looks like an elephant and was almost as big as my hand...that is...until I ate it with powdered sugar! YUM!

This week, we received a new district leader, he is from Bayern, and only speaks German. Goody. I am going to sound Bayrisch later. Wooo. Ha. Not really, I will sound....something. I dunno.
ANYWHO
This week was also a week of EXCELLENCE. We found a total of 6 investigators...that is one more investigator than the Standard of Excellence. So. Yes, this week was EXCELLENT. Bwahahaha. Love life.

Also, General Conference is LEGIT. I hope you all paid attention and were listening and not sleeping. You call got to see an extra session that I have to wait for next Sunday to see. Man-o!

Meghan may be the only one who understands the word, 'Feierabend'....but indeed, it is our joke and it is indeed FEIERABEND. I can't do anything, I am busy doing nothing! People say they are busy one their free nights. Sure...what are you doing? Watching some paint dry? hahaha. not really, but seriously.

There were tons of Polizei at the Bahnhof this weekend, I thought heck, they must know that it is General Conference! Haha, silly me, it was a SOCCER MATCH. People are crazy here when it comes to Soccer Matches, which reminds me, I bought a Soccer Ball, we are going to find so many people with it. :D yeah.

I also said bye to my ward mission leader this week, we will miss him! Bye Eric! Mostly we'll just miss his baby, Motts. Okay okay, We will miss all of the Tilgners! Fine, I said it. Goodness.

BUT I want to hear what you all learned in conference. Plus, I bet you didn't have so much fun as I did between sessions. I watched as my district leader got Fanat poured all over his face, sorry, I don't have  a picture of that, or I would have sent it. Hahahaha. Bwahahahahaaha. :D

LOVE YOU ALLL
FEIERABEND
Sis Rimmasch

(Note from Meghan: Feierabend is what you say when you are off work. It's literally the words "party" and "evening" put together. So when someone says they have "feierabend," it means they're done for the day.)
