Well HELLO! - August 5th, 2013

Here I am in Kiel!

This week, I was able to give out two Book of Mormons. One was Turkish, but the other one is a pretty cool story.
So, we went to go give a Chinese BOM to a lady we met last week, when we got into the apartment complex, she wasn't home. We were kind of sad about it. So we decided to knock on the doors in the rest of the complex. Most people didn't answer their doors, then we knocked on the door of Benjamin. He told us he was Presbyterian. But he took our card, and seemed really interested. He asked if we had a pamphlet. I told him no, but we have a Book and briefly explained what the BOM was. He wanted to buy it from us. We told him it was free, and he said, 10 Euros? No, it's a...present! And he took it and said he would be reading it. He seemed very interested. We will be going back soon.

Here is a weird, kommisch, story:
So...I was waiting at Hauptbahnhof for a bus to Garten, and this guy winked at me...so I went up to Sister Veselka, and said, that guy just winked at me. I look the other way, and he had sat down and winked at me again...oh gosh. Phew, our bus got there. But NO! He got on the same bus. Arg. So we went to the back hoping he wouldn't follow, but to no avail. He sat right across from us. And then started to chat to us. He told us he was from Hungary and that he was Muslim and that we are all holy people, because we were missionaries. He asked how to say, Rimmasch. And he said, Ah..Rimmasch, very beautiful, and kissed the word with his hand. Like Italian chefs do when they make something amazing. Normally, this would be like oh, thanks, but being a missionary is totally different. He wanted my number, so we gave pass along card. Then he said, I will call you. He also thought I was from Belgium. Uh...yeah. Crazy!

Anywho, we have an upcoming baptism. His name is Herr Petersen, is about 70 and has been investigating for awhile, but sweet! I can't wait till he gets taufed! (German word for baptism.)

I love you all! If anyone wants a certain picture of something or any comments, notes, threats, declarations, compliments or other responses, please make them known.

Love, Sister Rimmasch
