Sometimes I just play my violin with hobo gloves - Nov. 18, 2013

So this week...

One of our first appointments...she had lots of cats...normally cats are okay BUT NO, this cat hated me. He tried to bite me and batted my boot. Then he jumped up on the table and sat right in front of my face for a whole hour...I was so scared. THEN when we were praying I kept thinking how it was going to scratch my face up and it JUMPED ON ME during the prayer. Which then of course caused me to jump and have a heart attack. OOOoo I wanted to kick it sooooo bad. However, I did not because that it is not kind.

I also lead a lesson this week and asked someone to be baptized. She didn't really say no, just that it was a super soon date. It was so exciting and it was so easy and we felt the Spirit sooo strong!!!!

This week we did something really cool. I took my violin to the Fußgängerzone(out door mall) and put some hobo gloves on and...started playing in the middle of it! It was soooo awesome!!! I had a lot of people trying to give me money...and one person who got away with it. BUT anyway, we made lots of people smile and gave out a TON of pass along card!! Then...we started singing....I know. Crazy, right? I even sang soprano!!

In the midst of our singing, a man asked if he could sing with us! Sure...and he did! And then we found out he had previous contact with missionaries and would be interested in meeting with us again!! We have an appointment for this coming week and we are super excited!!!

We gave a lesson in District Meeting and we did really well! It was funny because it was on a topic we had tried to work on. Developing Faith to Find!! It was a cool lesson...we took up a lot of time...oh well.

I practiced with the primary again for the program for next week! It was so cool!! AND ADORABLE!!! I even made a secret handshake with one of the kids who is like, 4. Ha.

Sunday, we didn't have an eating appointment, so we sort of made our own with another member our age. We basically colleged it up and made a college worthy meal. Noodles and sauce. And then we watched a Mormon Message or two. They are sooo awesome!!!

But yeah, things are looking good this week. And transfer calls are on Saturday! I have no idea what will be happening!!!

The week of MEETINGS Nov 11 2013

First off, Noah's Ark has parked itself in the Kiel Förde. That's pretty cool. Too bad it costs money to get on, so...yeah. If it flood, I probably will just find my own boat.

We had a great lesson last P-day with an new invesitgator family. We are really excited for them to make progress and cannot wait to continue to teach them!! The Lord does have prepared people, they are pretty humble and listen to what we have to say. The father even prayed for our missionary effots!

The week we saw a large miracle come to pass. We got on a bus to from Flintbeck to go back to Kiel, and I realized we had the wrong tickets, and the ticket checker was coming...needless to say, we were both slapped upside the head with a 40€ fine. Ack. So, us being the responsible missionaries we are decided to go pay right away.

As we went to the building to pay, I talked to some people on the bus. They were very interested in what I was doing as a missionary!! Anywho,we got to the building and they told us we couldn't pay there, but if we came back tomorrow morning we could go upstairs and pay it might only be 7€. Well shoot. Will do. We prayed SO hard that day and the next morning as we went our way to pay. We talked with the man there and he made a call. It went something like this.
'Yeah, I have a couple of foreigners here, yeah. Mmhm.. Yeah.'
You're free to go, just pay more attention next time.

WE HAD A GIANT PRAYER ANSWER. We did not have to pay this fee out of our personal money. Thank goodness!!!

Anywho, we had a great service project with the Elders and a members house who loves the Elders and calls them 'süßes' aka, sweet hearts. Hahaha. Good time. We did lots of Garden work and it was great! So fun!

We had a great Zone Training Meeting and I learned a lot and understood quite the amount of German and even participated! My German is growing exponentially as I study and put trust that the Lord will help me and I have seen His help in my life. I haven't once been frustrated when I couldn't understand something. Cool, yeahß

I had a great interview with my President, Präsident Kosak. He is SUPER cool and a great mission president! He even spoke and both sessions of Stake Conference!! (By the way, the charge money when you order water at restaurants here...probably because it is bubbley water, which I actually like now. Hahaha)

My companion has been sick for a while, so I have had some extra down time to study while she slept it off. I read a lot of scriptures and practiced violin and thowing cards. Yeah, also watched Together Forever. Super 80's church movie, but still just as good. :)

BY THE WAY, I love trains and train rides, especially to Hamburg. :)

AND I have found that my musical abillities have ALSO multiplied whilst on my mission. The Lord really loves to give blessings out and I am greatful for them!

LOVE YOU ALL

ZoCO! Nov. 4 2013

Visited a cathedral this week. It was cool, and old, and cool. We took pictures and then apparently, I survived a Hurricane...or so I was told. It was really windy and some trees were felled and I was told that some people died. Sheesh! I am glad that we had decided to stay in because the next day as we were walking down a street, we saw a bit of damage and stuff right where we would have been walking the night before. Thank the heavens we stayed indoors.
This week was Zone Conference! We had area 70's there!! Elder Kearon (from Britain) and Elder Fingerle from Germany!!! IT WAS SO AWESOME AND INSPIRING!!!!!!!! Elder Kearon told me he served for awhile in the Sunset Stake in St. George! He loves my home city and says that it is really pretty!! :) Aww...Warm fuzzies!! It was super cool!

I got to talk to my old MTC buddies!! All but two of them were there because one is in a different area and one is in the Alpine mission, so yeah. Ha.

This week we threw a Halloween Party. We helped set up parts of it and even participated as it was a ward function of some sorts. It was super fun, and we ate doughnuts on a string! So fun!!! It was a blast and it was cool. We have got a pretty cool ward.

I learned in German studies this week (with some awesome members) that THOU THEE THINE etc, are forms of the DU sprache, the INFORMAL YOU in language. Which means that YOU is SIE sprach therefore I have been using the formal use of you for my whole life!!! NOOO
I will now refer to you all as thou and what not.

Sunday was great. I am playing piano for the Primary Program! And all the little kids were singing in German and it was soooo cute and I about exploded of cuteness!! SO ADORABLE!

Anyway, real excited to go on! We even have an appointment today with a new family!

WOOO!
